Please ASAP
Working on it 😊 I hope we can share more details about it soon.
Good news, we just published our first beta that includes portrait mode, more details in out community post → https://community.fjorden.co/c/app/1-5-portrait-mode
So happy with your product. I am a retired wedding photographer and are truly enjoying the simplicity of this awesome grip.
Well done. So happy I purchased the Fjorden.
It so easy to use especially with traveling.
I just bought my 14 pro iPhone. This is so fun.
The app is really cool and I love that I can down load into my Lightroom App.
Thanks,

@Plans_cactus09 Portrait Mode with variable Aperture is implemented in the Fjorden App! Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t give developers control over the native camera app (i.e. we can’t make the Grip control zoom, exposure, etc. in the native app), but all these features work with in Fjorden App.
Hmm.. When switching via mail to browser I’m anonymous again.. Strange.Anyhow : How nice Victor to see a fast response like this . Do I understand you correctly that Portrait mode is now available on ALL subjects and Objects?
Thanks for the heads up about the native app as well. Then hopefully you’ll stay in business very very long because otherwise the Fjorden will be of little use. I should buy three really ;-) just to make that happen… @Plans_cactus09
Ok, just downloaded the app again but I have questions. The portrait mode still only reacts to a face detected. Can’t I select Action mode and Cinematic mode in your app? Are they Apple Iphone App ONLY?
Or is the feature finished but now being scrutinized by Apple’s lengthy vetting process ;-)?
The portrait mode still only reacts to a face detected
Correct, sorry for the confusion. Our portrait mode implementation only works with detected faces for now.
Can’t I select Action mode and Cinematic mode in your app?
Sadly, both of these modes are not available to 3rd party developers. They are exclusive to Apple’s camera app.
@Plans_cactus09 Apologies indeed for the confusion - as Florian said, it only works with Faces in the Fjorden App.
However, you can use the Fjorden Grip shutter button to trigger the shutter in the native camera app. So even though the Grip’s control dial and zoom lever don’t work in the native app, you can use the Grip to shoot photos/videos in the other native app modes like Portrait, Night Mode, Pano, etc.
Thanks for the quick clarification. I wish you the best of luck with your endeavour ! For me though, the product with those limitations is just not what I had been distilling from the flood of advertisements on my streams. It makes me wonder about how many returns you get… Anyway : So I guess : Bye for now.
Fantastic, it’s great news that the development of the characteristics is followed. Thank you very much for the improvements.
