Auto import to Lightroom Mobile#182

?

Integration with Lightroom Mobile where you could toggle the ability to have photos sent to Lightroom Mobile immediately after being taken and/or via a share/export option after having been taken.

We would love to be able to do that, but as far as we know, there is no way to automatically import photos into Lightroom from another app.

If there is, please let us know. Hopefully Adobe will offer such a feature in the future.

This is already doable. I sync my Photos images for the last 30 days to LR on my phone, then I use adobe sync to get them to my desktop.

On LR Mobile (on iPhone) go to App Settings>Import and set the options you need. I use Photos and Videos options.

This will ensure that all images in Photos are imported into LR on your phone.

If you want the ALSO on your desktop, setup Adobe Sync from the phone to desktop.

On the desktop make a Smart Collection with the settings as follows:

Once the images synch to my desktop, I drag them into the folder structure I use for all my images and they save to my NAS in my standard file structure.

That will auto import photos/videos from your phone’s photo library. That is independant from Fjorden.

It was my understanding that the original feature idea was to send photos from Fjorden directly to Adobe Lightroom, without saving them to the photo library first.

I agree with your assertion that it imports from the phone’s photo library. In my experience (limited to date) that is exactly where the Fjorden app places them. And that is a GOOD thing :-)

What I love about the Fjorden approach is to make the best possible camera out of an iPhone. The further away from that goal (with features, editing options, filters etc) the less attractive the app/back become.

Cheers

Please DON’T do this “It was my understanding that the original feature idea was to send photos from Fjorden directly to Adobe Lightroom, without saving them to the photo library first.”

The fact that the app saves images to the Photos reel is a major plus.

Bypassing that would restrict many options.

You can create a shortcut that imports everything in th Fjorden album in Photos to LR. And once LR has completed uploading originals to the cloud you can use a second shortcut to delete them all from the Fjorden album. Now the Fjorden album functions much like an SD card on a “real” camera. And you save space on the phone. If you’re a LR Classic user you can also delete from the cloud once the originals are downloaded ( and backed up!) on the desktop.

For the fastest integration between camera and editing workflow I recommend the switch from Lightroom to Photomator.
