I don’t have my Fjorden Grip yet, but I believe I will be able to remove the Grip from the back of my iPhone, mount the iPhone on a tripod, then control the Fjorden camera app remotely with the Grip. If this is true, you should include this capability in your marketing. To me this is a great feature. Up to now the only remote control I’m aware of is shutter release.
@Ddseager Yes, you are right, this is how it will work. You can control anything with the grip “remotely”, it always connects via Bluetooth. So it doesn’t make a difference it you have the grip physically attached to your phone or not.
We will improve marketing around this feature as soon as we have near final grip units, thanks for the tip.
As an actor, I have to film myself for self taped auditions. Can I remotely control my camera with my IPad, to film myself?
@Christophernottheld You can control our camera app with the grip, as mentioned in the comment above. We not offer a remote control feature from another iOS device, and I think it is unlikely that we will offer it in the future.
The Fjorden works with Bluetooth right?
So I could mirror my iPhone to my tablet with another app and control my camera to film myself with the Fjorden detached from my camera?
Or am I missing something?
@Christophernottheld Correct, you can detach the grip, and still control everything as ususal.
Thanks! Now I have a plan. I really need to be able to film myself for my profession. Thanks again.
