Slow to find grip on app startup#445

Observed behaviour: When opening the Fjorden app, I am often presented with a “Connect your grip” interface, followed by an option to register the grip – but I have already done this many times. The result is that it is very slow to open the app and start taking photos, meaning I miss the shot.

Expected behaviour: One a grip is paired with a phone, openign the app while the grip is turned on should take you straight to the camera, ready to shoot.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Pair grip with camera.
2. Set up the device and app as normal.
3. Wait an hour or so, do other things with your phone.
4. Re-open the Fjorden app.
   => The app will not be ready to shoot photos.

Current workaround: I’m using the Leica Lux app, as this seems to always be ready to work with my Fjorden grip when I need it. But this costs £60/year!

Please can the Fjorden app-grip connection be made more stable and reliable?
