Current magsafe has adjustable thumb rest which gives max stability to grip the whole Fjorden shutter grip+magsafe adapter. I think it is brilliant idea to have thumb rest which is also used as hotshoe adapter holder.
But, there are 2 problems on current design.
Metal screw to plastic thread:
It is locked by 1 tiny screw onto the plastic slider which become wobbly in 1-2 days in normal usage for me. Thumb rest part become loosen then I have to look for the tiny screw driver all the time. Wonder, I don’t know how long the screw work with plastic material. The metal screw will not tight lock to the plastic guide undess the slider part (or the plate with thread behind of slider) made with metal would increase the screw resistance?
Too Short slider.. why?
The slider should be much longer as possible which enable to apply 2 screws instead of 1 at current position.
PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTO WITH MY SKETCH
The slider will be moved same distance as current design. But, 2 screws will lock the slider much tighter. Also, it incress turning moment resistance.
Please consider to fix this design for next version.
