iOS Lock Screen widget is invisible#318

In the latest version of the iOS App, the Fjorden Lock Screen widget for opening the app in Manual mode is ‘invisible’. The widget is working, but doesn’t have an icon so it appears like a blank space.

This is easiest seen in the following screenshots:

Hm, this is odd. I tried to reproduce the issue, but every widget is showing up as expected (on light and dark background).

I you haven’t yet, can you try and reboot your phone and see if that fixes this problem? It sounds more like an issue with iOS that with our app, we haven’t changed anything regarding widgets.

If none of the above helped, can you share which version of Fjorden you are using, and which version of iOS?

Well, that was an easy fix. A restart has restored the icon. Apologies for raising this unnecessarily (I saw a tag of ‘Bug’ in the list which is why I thought bugs were here also. I also can’t remember where we discussed the volume button issue, sorry!).

Interestingly though I have definitely restarted the phone recently as part of a software update and the issue persisted. Other apps’ widgets have worked fine.

I also tried removing and re-adding the widget and its icon disappeared again.

Anyway, the restart today has restored the icon.

Weird, but glad the isse is resolved 😊

@Florian while I can restart my phone again, the issue has reoccurred twice since and doesn’t happen with my other apps’ widgets. So there still seems to be something specific to Fjorden’s assets.

Oh, that is weird. We will investigate, we don’t do anything special here.
