Dynamic Island notification on bluetooth connection to Fjorden#189

Right now if the Fjorden is attached to the back of your phone (obscuring the LED on the unit) there is no way to tell visually if bluetooth connection has been established.

It would be great if there was a notification in the Dynamic Island (similar to when you connect your airpods) as a visual cue that your iPhone and Fjorden are indeed connected.

I have tried setting up shortcuts to enable this functionality but have been unsecessful so far as the Fjorden is not listed as a Bluetooth device within Shortcuts app for a trigger.

We would love to be able to offer this. Unfortunately, it’s not possible at the moment. There is no way for us to show anything in Dynamic Island without opening Fjorden first. We are thinking about something to show when you open Fjorden and the grip is connected. But it can’t be as seamless as Apple’s own Airpods notification, because we don’t know when the grip connects to your phone (this happens at the system level, without our app being involved).

Shortcuts doesn’t allow you to set up anything for Bluetooth Low Energy devices (like our grip). Only classic Bluetooth devices are supported.

ok thanks for the reply. I hope you’re able to figure out a solution to enable some sort of on screen notification even if it’s not in the dynamic island.
