"Lock" lens feature#187

I’d love the ability to use the Custom Function button or Scroll Wheel to be able to choose and LOCK which lens to use. Example/reason why: I’ve been in the field trying to shoot macro photos of flowers using the Moment macro lens which I specifically bought to use with the grip. The “flick” between lenses feature does not work very well, and the lens selection is not persistent. It’s difficult to capture macro photos with the external lens because the camera app keeps rotating between lenses. The Moment app allows a lens “lock”, and I’d like Fjorden to do the same.

Hi @Ajgreenspan, I believe what you are asking for is our Manual Mode. In Manual, our app will never switch lenses automatically.

I don’t consider this a proper solution. Why do I have to give up using the automatic adjustments in order to choose the lens/focal length I want to shoot with? This is not a very customer-centric approach or answer. Very disappointing.

You don’t have to give up automatic adjustments. You can leave any parameter at Auto. If you set “Smart Processing” to “High” in Settings → Formats & Quality, you will get the same photos as in Full Auto mode.

However, due to the way the camera system works on iPhone, we cannot offer lens locking in Auto mode.
