when switching from back to front camera and back, keep the back camera settings#174

if my back camera settings are on zoom 2.3 and manual focus and i switch the camera to a selfie, I don’t think of it as going from 1.0 to 2.0. I think of it as using a different camera body. I pick it up, it has selfie set on it, then I go back to shooting with the 2.3 zoom on manual focus.

I would expand this to every lense change. especially when flick switch on zoom jog

If I understand correctly, you mean you would like to see adjustments you made (e.g. SS, ISO, Focus) on, say the 1× back camera, to carry over when you switch to the front camera?

The supported settings differ vastly between lenses, those can be completely different camera systems. For example, manual focus on the front camera is only supported on iPhone 14 Pro.

While we could probably restore some settings, it would get complicated to build a consistent user experience covering all phones.

I don’t mean for them to carry over. I mean for them to stay set on the back camera for when I return to it.
Say u am on telefoto. Manual settings. ISO at 32.
Currently I switch to selfie with function button,, take a shot and when I switch to back again, I’m on everything auto and 1.0 lens.
What I want is for I switch to back cameras, it to go back to telefoto, maula, iso 32
