Sleep even if connected to bluetooth#127

I ran out my first battery in a week and I think it might be because it remains on when connected to Bluetooth at all? Or whenever a button is pressed?

I’m not really sure. It would be awesome to be able to change sleep settings on our own.

Maybe that two button reset combo if pressed once and not held can be what wakes it up as an option? I’m not sure what the best solution would be, just want the battery to last a bit longer.

Yeah, it doesn’t seem to sleep at all for me. Even with the app and Bluetooth disconnected the green light is on hours later. It just ran a battery from 100% down to 25% today alone.

Hopefully it’s just me. I’ll report back in a few days. I still would like it to sleep after maybe a minute of inactivity knowing I can wake it up easily and it doesn’t take any time connecting. I know not everyone would appreciate a minute though, thus the feature request to modify.

Hi @Ryan Filgas, this must be a bug. The grip is supposed to go into sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity. The LED should turn off after a couple of seconds when the grip is connected to your phone. We have never seen an issue with it, in our testing the grip goes to sleep as expected. Once it is sleeping, you can wake it up by pressing the power button.

Can you reach out to help@fjorden.co if your are still experiencing these issues? Thanks.

It seems like user error perhaps. I likely pressed the shutter button a lot when I wasn’t using it. The same replacement battery now reads at 79% instead of 25%, so I think the battery readout might vary from brand to brand.
